System Technician

We are currently seeking a System Technician in Plainfield, IN.

The System Technician will work onsite at our client location in Plainfield, IN. The technician will be providing desk-side assistance to end-users on a SPOC project.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Installation and upgrade services of hardware and software
• Implementing virus detection and eradication procedures
•Diagnosing end-user system failures and implementing repair solutions
• Diagnosing printer and other peripheral device failures and implementing repair solutions
• Troubleshooting network devices in order to ensure connectivity from the PC to the network
• This position includes continuous walking, bending and lifting equipment sometimes up to 50 pounds and engaging in labor related duties of connecting computer equipment


We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who will provide a strong emphasis on providing a timely resolution to support requests and ensuring a high level of quality customer service.

Qualified candidates must have experience in the following:
• Supporting a Windows environment, MS Office 2000 and 2003, Norton Antivirus and HP printers, desktops and laptops
• Excellent troubleshooting capability
• Responding to service requests and trouble incidents
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid documentation skills
• Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
• Ability to search internally/externally for support information
• Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
• Team/customer oriented

Preferred qualifications include:
• Some previous phone support experience in a computing environment
