Systems Analyst, IT Operations

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, flexible, team player to join our IT Operations department as a Systems Analyst.  This position will be responsible for the support of mission-critical computer equipment.  The position supports computer operations technology plans and procedures for the business units in USA TODAY, USA TODAY.com, USA WEEKEND Magazine and other Gannett business units. It provides day-to-day IT services, which include performing scheduled system monitoring, process and application verification, system backups, problem analysis and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues, program configuration modifications, problem escalation and communications to affected users, departments and business units , and working independently on new projects and assignments. The position requires that this position be able to provide first level troubleshooting of USATODAY's print site and field office network issues.  Experience supporting Cisco networks is a plus.   

 

Teamwork and flexibility are necessary, given that we support our business units 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This position requires that the candidate be flexible and to rotate on various shifts and on-call responsibilities.A BS degree in computer sciences is required. We provide a learning environment with an extensive in-house training program.
