Essential Skills:The Systems Analyst Senior will support the strategic business goals of Walgreens Health by investigating industry trends, statutory requirements, and WHI internal product development requirements. The individual will analyze the requirements for any large or small-scale development efforts driven by these factors. The individual will work with business users and developers to design the appropriate solutions to satisfy these requirements, and will provide consultative support to ensure these solutions are properly implemented. Working closely with the business owners (PBM Operations) will be a key role. The individual will participate in industry-related standards organizations, and other industry-related professional organizations or task groups, such as NCPDP, NACDS, FDB User Groups, CMS-MMA Industry Task Groups, and others, and will be responsible for representing the interests of WHI to these organizations in a full participatory fashion. The individual will be responsible for tracking and reporting on new issues, trends, regulations, etc. that precipitate from these organizations, and that have potential impacts to WHI systems or operations.Qualifications:- Two years Project Management with the ability to demonstrate, plan and lead multiple development and analysis efforts. - Solid understanding of the product development life cycle from inception to implementation, SDLC and CRM. - Analytical and critical thinking skills.- Technical writing experience.- Refined communication skills, both verbal and written.- BA or BS degree in Business, Healthcare, or Information Systems is required. - Five years in application development and/or business analysis required. - Two year of PBM or other related experience preferred. Knowledge of NCPDP telecommunications standards, HIPAA and Medicare Part D/MMA regulations, health care consumerism, pharmaceutical rebates a plus. - Experience with client/server applications, AIX, Oracle, PL/SQL a plus..
