Systems Engineer/Architect

PTFS, a Maryland-based company providing digital archiving and library solutions, as well as professional services including digitization, library staffing, and integration services, has an opening for a Systems Engineer/Architect who will work with client and be responsible for system resources, including coordinating all specifications and requirements, and ensuring system readiness and availability of primary and test systems in a large scale, web deployed environment.  Will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of all design, operating and performance documentation.

Requirement: 

Architect/consultant for large web and/or data center deployments.Demonstrated experience in designing large content hardware systems/multi-tiered web-facing applications Demonstrated ability specifying quantity of servers and allocations for large clustered deployment Demonstrated experience with large storage architectures and deployments (multiple TB to PB solutions) Knowledge of systems architectural design with performance mandates in mind Contingency of operations (COOP) and disaster recovery experience. BOM development for large-scale web deployment

Preferred:Experience with distributed index / search architecture Massive web deployment.
