Systems Engineer, New York

Job Specification:

This position is key for the support of the sales and customer acceptance of the LeftHand Networks products.  The ideal candidate will be based in a major metropolitan area, preferably the New York City. The candidate will provide customers, partner companies and our own sales organization with pre-sales technical assistance, installation and technical support.  The candidate will have a strong technical background, in-depth knowledge of industry trends, products and solutions.  The candidate will also have organizational and professional skills to deliver the highest level of response to the customer. 

·  Respond to sales requests for technical assistance

·  Facilitate the installation of Lefthand Networks products at customer sites

·  Develop and execute product demonstrations for potential customers

·  Assist in the technical evaluation of an opportunity

·  Assist sales in the preparation, content and presentation of technical material to the customer

·  Assist the technical support organization and act as a backup as needed

·  Provide consulting and architecture services to customers

·  Provide reporting of customer activities as well as general status and activities

·  Develop and deliver training sessions to customers, partners, and internal groups, as needed

Experience Requirements:

·  Proven technical knowledge and experience in an enterprise networked systems environment.

·  Demonstrated knowledge of storage products (SAN, NAS, DAS) and Windows 2000/NT 4.0 operating systems;  Solaris and/or Linux, a plus

·  Proven sales engineering and/or consulting experience

·  Exceptional customer communications skills

·  Knowledge of industry products, trends and practices

Educational Requirements

·  Four year degree or equivalent experience

·  Product specific training related to networked storage products

Other Requirements:

·  Lifting and moving of equipment; must be able to lift 50 lbs.
