Systems Engineer - Visual C++, .Net technologies, GUI - Non-Automotive

What we are seeking is a good GUI developer who has a solid understanding of Visual C++.  This individual will be responsible for developing GUIs to wrap around this invention in order to create numerous products for the market place. They need an experienced GUI developer whose core development skills include some MS Visual C++. The perfect individual would be someone with a good amount of experience designing and developing quality Graphical User Interfaces that have been in production and user tested with success. Individuals coming out of larger enterprises who enjoy and want a well structured development environment with well defined policies and procedures need to recognize this environment will be much more free spirited and flexible. The hired candidate needs flexibility and a "can do, do what it takes" attitude. While contributing GUI application development is the primary responsibilty, strong debugging skills are critical as well as a pro-active attitude necessary to help this firm grow and mature.

This position is a full-time, direct hire position that will be located in the Troy, MI area with the potential opportunity for telecommuting. Candidates located in Southeastern Michigan area will get preferential treatment. Some benefits are available such as paid vacation time, paid holidays, and monthly health insurance allowance. The beginning salary range for this position is $60K - $70K, but be aware that because this individual will be getting in on the ground floor that there is substantial financial upside and creative financial incentives (e.g. bonuses, stock options, etc.).

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED: 3+ years (more preferred) of paid, professional IT application development experience required. 1+ year (more preferred) of recent Visual C++ development, preferably with Microsoft's version. Proven success and confidence in designing and developing high quality Graphical User Interface applications. Any experience developing Windows device drivers helpful or knowledge of how software that secures data works is beneficial. Hands on experience doing VB.Net, C#.Net, or ASP.Net development with the 2.0 or 3.0 framework highly desirable. Hands on development experience with WXWidgets a plus. Must have excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
