 Job Description

The Systems Integration Team Lead performs as manager for the Engineering group for a division of a government client.  The group consists of 15+ Senior Engineers that design and implement all engineering efforts for the client.  The Systems Integration Team Lead reports to the on-site Program Manager and supports numerous government clients throughout the organization.  The manager will be involved in the performance of system analysis involving hardware and software integration on LANs/WANs and on user network applications on distributed systems that conform to or support government standards.

 

Responsibilities include:Managing, monitoring and reporting on all activities related to over 40 active engineering projects and Tier-3 support tasks;Attending and contributing to Sr. Government planning sessions and Catapult contractor meetings;Acting as on-site resident information technology expert on major network and application systems;Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems; andApplying specific disciplines required to accomplish tasks including reliability and maintainability, safety, test and evaluation, quality assurance, network applications and topology, data communications, and design and integration engineering.

 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Active government Top Secret/SCI clearance required8 years of progressive enterprise systems experienceBachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a closely related technical field.  Other professional certifications and combinations of educational credentials with experience will be evaluated for consideration.Knowledge of network management systems (HP NNM, SPECTRUM, NetIQ), firewalls, and trouble ticketing systems (Remedy)Direct experience with installation practices involving network servers, switches, routers, hubs, and other ancillary devicesThorough understanding of routing protocols Knowledge of government regulations, manuals, technical orders, standards, and industry publicationsCapability to manage numerous projects with shifting prioritiesStrong knowledge of MS ProjectExcellent oral and written communication skills and the capability to produce detailed programmatic plans and resource assessmentsSuperior customer interaction skills
