Leadership through Innovation… Marketing Systems Group is a dynamic and growing full-service statistical sampling, information services, and software development company located in Ft. Washington, PA. Currently, we have a full time Technical Support Level 1 position available.

 Job Summary

 

Provide on-going support to clients and internal users of company developed products. Work with developers to research and resolve customer issues.  Participate in testing and deployment of company software products.  Work with developers and other members of support group on product documentation.  Assist Sales staff with set up and demonstration of company products as required. 

 Major Responsibilities/Activities

 

Job responsibilities include involvement with quality control, software testing, updating documentation for bug reports, and related activities supporting customer installations. Customer contact involved. Works with other tech support staff to support customers on various issues. Assists with research and resolution of technical problems and concerns of customers. Answers inquiries in person, via telephone, e-mail and voice mail concerning the use of company’s products. Has good knowledge of company's products and awareness of interfaces to third-party products.

 Minimum Requirements

 

Associates degree or higher in Business/Marketing Research/ IS/Programming, or any equivalent combination of training, education and work experience.  Position requires:

 Good listening/troubleshooting skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Solid background in troubleshooting PC/Server hardware and software applications in a Windows environmentPC/Microsoft Word, Excel proficient Self-motivated and ability to pick up new concepts quicklyDetail Oriented Ability to manage multiple tasks Minimum one year experience

 Essential Physical Functions

Ability to move boxes and computer equipment around up to approximately 80 lbs.

 

 Additional Comments:

May be required to stay, out of the normal business hours, to resolve support issue and provide support via company pager.  Job may require some traveling to client sites for technical support and/or product installation.

 

Experience in one or more of the following areas highly desirable:

 ·  Market research, data collection, data processing or computer assisted telephone interviewing; ·  Previous software testing experience Experience/knowledge of .NET/SQL/working with database applications
