Technical Manager Title: Technical Manager Location: San Francisco, CA 94105 Employment Status: Full-Time/Employee Travel: NoneSummary: The Technical Manager’s role ensures the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The Technical Managerwill work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This person will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Participate in overall IT business planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems; assures integrity of IT organization data, proprietary information, hardware/software procurement and related intellectual property through information security and access management.Responsibilities:Manage a staff of IT professionals Provide leadership to a team that supports IT solutions/systems. Provide guidance on IT project development methodologies and coordinate the use of methods, tools and procedures. Oversee Operations personnel, implementing appropriate standards and processes Overall responsibility of the IT services delivered by the department. Monitor department objectives and measurements (KPIs) Resource management and allocation across multiple projectsQualifications: Experience with Linux and AIX in a production environment Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Ability to organize issues and prioritize in a fast paced environment Strong management skills IT technical background is critical for Customer relationship Previous management experience required Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent and/or 5-10 years of Information Technology experience.Functional knowledge of the below domains, with expertise in at least two, required.
