Due to continuous growth, MOD Systems has an excellent opportunity for a candidates interested in a Technical Support Engineer position. With strong focus on continuous growth, the customer experience, training and increased revenues the TSE will assist in supporting mission critical environments to greatly enhance our ability to deliver customer satisfaction and high quality engineering support for our products and services. This will include conducting test planning, text execution, and issue tracking on client, server, and embedded software.

 

Responsibilities:Provide telephone-based and electronic technical support to existing and prospective customers. Utilize standard tools, procedures, and resources to diagnose and resolve customer technical problems. Document all case activity into the appropriate case tracking database. Create and contribute to the development of Support Notes/Solutions for knowledge base and website content.Represent Company to customers in a positive and professional manner. Interact with Peers, Subject Matter Experts, and Managers to resolve customer issues. Work with Manager to develop a career path for personal growth. Complete Special projects/duties as assigned. Participate in shift work and in 24 x 7 pager rotation as required.

 

Requirements:BA degree in Computer Science or SW Engineering. MCSE/MCP Certification.System Administration experience strongly desired. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.  Ability to multitask and meet challenging deadlines in fast-paced environment.Excellent analytical, strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.Ability to interact with clients in a friendly and accommodating manner.

 

Preferred Technical Background:MS Windows 2003 and MS SQL Server administration experience.  Knowledge of configuration and usage of SharePoint. Understanding and ability to manipulate C#, and Unix/Linux.Experience with server/client applications, web applications, Windows services, and web services.Knowledge of complete software product lifecycle.Familiarity with product development cycles as well as knowledge of hardware, software, wireless and radio communications, and embedded systems technology.Experience with web testing, specifically high volume, online retail systems.Ability to write and execute test cases based on test plans and specifications.Ability to construct clear, concise documentation for internal use and customer distribution.
