Technical Support Specialist Level 1
Job Summary:
CrossTec Corporation, established in 1996, develops and distributes award winning software management solutions for IT security, education technology, enterprise network, and help desks. We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist Level 1. Some travel required. Recipient will bring a positive, professional attitude to our company.
The Technical Support Specialist will be the primary resource for phone and web-based support questions from current customers, sales prospects, and internal staff. CrossTec’s front line support philosophy is that phone and online presence to external customers take precedence over any and all other activities for this position. Therefore, support specialists duties are primarily to answer support questions as quickly and accurately as possible.
Other responsibilities include: Create appropriate technical “hot-tips” and/or how-to articles for all products on a “see the need” basis. The Support Manager and Technical Product Managers will retain final release approval. Work with Product Management teams to identify areas of concern as noted from incoming support issues. Own responsibility for documenting ALL technical contacts in the technical database. Assist in beta testing of new products and features. Document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements to the support manager. Assist in identifying and fixing internal support issues within the CrossTec infrastructure. Assist in maintaining the test lab in functioning order. Special assignments as defined and approved by the Support Manager and/or the Technical Services Director.
