Summary of Job Responsibilities:Position with involve 30% technical writing and 70% editingWill be one of 4 technical writers working very closely together on projectWill require A LOT of readingResponsible for both writing requirements documents and editing other people’s requirements documentsEdit documents for grammar, content and most importantly – to make sure that documents follow the Standards in place for the companyWill need to become an expert in these document templates and standardsEach project with vary but the general process for each will be:  1. Create the concept document  2. Work on the requirements documents  3. Work on the Testing Documents (mostly to just document evidence of what the system does).

Required Characteristics:  Mid-level technical writer (at least 4-6 years experience)Must be an expert in Microsoft WordAbility to work effectively within a small team environmentAbility to juggle multiple projects at onceAble to handle a very busy, intense work environmentExperience with Visio, Lotus Notes or Live Link a plus Must have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
