Job Title: Technology Consultant - FileNet

 

Job Details:

As a contractor for the client’s IT department, the person in this position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, support, and administration of the FileNet document management system. This includes the capabilities to perform hardware and software troubleshooting.

Provide day-to-day support. Respond to call tickets. Perform troubleshooting. Provide assistance to projects needing FileNet expertise.

 

Understands the strategic direction of enterprise and the supporting IT systems and architectures. Maintains knowledge of emerging technological trends and utilizes this knowledge to educate both IT and the business of opportunities to build better IT solutions that support and drive business decisions. Assists in the definition of the architecture and technology needs of the organization based on new and emerging technologies, and establishes priorities and strategies consistent with business goals and economic viability. Establishes foundation architecture for organization to standardize on hardware and software usage. Serves as a consultant and advisor to senior IT leadership on advanced technologies and evaluates the business impact through cost/benefit analysis. Recommends and incorporates technology with long-term business plans. Transfers knowledge of key learning’s throughout the enterprise, and establishes and communicates strategic and technological plans.  This position prefers a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience and requires 7 to 10 years of IT work experience. Requires prior management, supervisory, or team leader experience.

 

Description of the requested work, including deliverables and knowledge transfer

FileNet administration including the following tasks

Administrating and monitoring of Image services, to include creation of FileNet users and groups, enabling and disabling optical drives, checking all   the services and log files in the Image Service system creating doc class and user queues, Configuring Optical Storage Repository (OSAR) and Magnetic Storage Repository (MSAR), checking space available in cache.

 

Ticket resolution and user support: It includes installation of Image Desktop Manager (IDM), IDM find and capture professional on remote desktop, Configuring library in IDM configure and capture configure application, enabling and educating users to use these tool, resolving there day to day queries.

 

Work with FileNet Vendor when customizing FileNet application based on user requirements.

 

Skills Required:Experience in FileNet Capture for Scanning and capturing of Images and Indexing imagesExperience with FileNet Image Services and Image Manager Experience with Customer Relationship Management Integration Suite (CIS), the application connector between FileNet/Siebel.Experience with FileNet Open Client and Web ServicesExperience with the FileNet SAP ConnectorExperience with FileNet High-Performance Image Import (HPII) toolExperience with FileNet Cache Maintenance toolExperience with Optical Juke boxes and their connections and support.Experience and knowledge in use of scanners (as they relate to FileNet)Provide support for day to day operationsBe available for project consultation as it regards to FileNet implementationsInstall hardware and software as required.Provide weekly status reports to section manager

 

Skills Desired:Must have advanced Microsoft knowledge, 5-10 years in Filenet experience.Certifications in Filenet preferred.
