Test Engineering Manager

Job Description
Responsible for creation of testing lab for Memjet products within a startup environment  Management of processes, tools & lab environment associated with Test Engineering Management of daily Test Engineering work assignments to support development Translate printer functional specification and user modeling into design verification test plans Analyze product deficiencies and test results, and publish reports which document them Ensure customers' needs are being met per functional specifications  Utilize defect tracking software to report both defects found and status of testing  Support ongoing critical parameter testing by aiding in setup and analysis of required DOE’s Work closely with design engineers and internal support organizations to verify functionality, coordinate testing, and understand applications Support manufacturing with help in creation of production quality system in area of ongoing reliability testing Assist with training and management of image quality test operators as required for DVT testing 

Required Qualifications
Hands on position requiring skills of both individual contributor and manager Requires a quality minded individual who has been involved in multiple product development and launch cycles (preferably printer products) and exudes enthusiasm for product quality Strong understanding of statistical based reliability testing methodologies, and the ability to apply them in development, implementation, and execution of design verification tests for Memjet printer products BSEE,  BSME, or other engineering related degree Ten years experience in testing engineering with five years in a supervisory role Strong computer aptitude, including working with custom applications, scripting and test code Understanding of statistical analysis tools Skilled in Design of Experiments and data analysis Must possess strong communication skills, strong team building and leadership style Desire to work in a fast-paced environment Demonstrate an ability to interface effectively with coworkers and all levels of management Demonstrated independent judgment Good written and verbal communication skills

Desired QualificationsMSEE, MSME, or other advanced engineering related degree  Five years direct experience in testing managerial role in inkjet product development environment  Knowledge of visual evaluation tools for print quality assessment  Expert in six-sigma processes  Familiar with image quality defects and associated root causes
