Trainer - Corporate Development
Objective of position
Aid in the design, development, implementation and presentation of company sales methodology, systems and product training foundation and tools, through the combination of both in person and technology facilitation for all Zones Inc locations.
Results to be achieved
1.Increased retention throughout training
2.Have all new hires achieve a 90% average or better on both sales and technical tests in month one and month 2 of new hire training
3.Increased productivity, measured by AEs meeting or exceeding their ramp goals during the first month on the sales floor
4.Manage new hire account executive class on the sales floor as needed in Month 2 through daily meetings and call coaching
Process
1.Conduct appropriate training to develop new Account Executives in person or via video conferencing or MS Live Meeting.
a.Effectively training sales, technical and product information and best practices.
b.Ensure that all course content is focused on acquiring and retaining customers - accounts
2.Design and facilitate testing for developing benchmarks for success
a.New hires achieving 90% average over 3 tests (wk 2, wk 4 and wk 8)
3.Improve existing AEs sales results through continued learning on new resources, products, technologies and systems.
a.Follow-up with sales managers to ensure that what is taught matches with successful sales and technical best practices in all divisions- through manager meetings, Zones Academy trainings, one on one evaluation and meetings.
b.Ensure streamline throughout first and second month of training with focus on AE transitions
4.On-going recognition programs thru graduation, forums and call coaching
5.Review content and presentation in the classroom
a.Week 4 trainer evaluations
6.Utilize industry-standard adult learning educational, facilitation and organizational development methodologies.
a.Develop, administer and improve the most efficient training methods for sales, technical and product training
7.Provide performance coaching to offer continued improvement in classes
a.Coach, mentor and develop new account executives during their tenure at Zones, Inc.
b.Utilizing tools and resources provided by the sales management team
c.Praise good results and set up action plan for improvement
8.Special projects as assigned by Sales Training and Development Manager
Including but not limited to:
oPrinting and assembly of manuals each month
oWorking with SME in support areas to update training content, materials and systems.
oAttending Sales manager meetings as needed
oTravel to remote locations as needed
oROI reporting
oFacilitation and grading of wk 2, 4 and 8 tests
oManager shadowing and call coaching
Results Measurement:
1.Retention- 30%
2.Test results meeting or exceeding a 90% average minimum
a.Evaluation of month 2 sales results is considered exceeding performance goals by the following metrics
i.1 new account
ii.1.8 hours of talk time average
iii.10 + quotes
3.Productivity of month 3/ Success of AE ramp to goal
4.AE trainer feedback/evaluations
Profile including skills and experience (competencies)
1.Leadership- must feel confident interacting with all levels of the organization, demonstrate the ability to inspire and motivate either in an upward or downward direction in the organization.
2.Communication-needs excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to facilitate a discussion
3.Development- classes, course content and materials in line with sales best practices as determined by sales management
4.Facilitation- create and environment where learning is linked to results and engages the facilitators with different learning styles and motivations
5.Attention to detail- to be able to see the overall strategy and how the training effects the group and the individual
6.Ability to multi-task- the ability to handle a various amount of trainings and create the continuity in all.
7.Scheduling- design and maintain on going schedules for multiple classes.
8.Planning- must be able to plan and ensure that future needs are addressed.
9.Strategic- is able to visualize the instruction needed and understand how it fits in the overall long-term companys business strategy
10.Team Player-collaboration with different levels of the organization in a professional manner to ensure training of best practices and behaviors
11.Clear understanding of industry- standard educational, facilitation and organizational development methodologies including adult learning styles and personalities

Minimum qualifications
Education- 4 yr degree in Communications or Business preferred or 2 yr Associates Degree in Communications or Business + 2 yrs work experience in the Training and Development or Organizational Development industry. Experience- Working in a fast paced changing environment. Must have experience with content and course development, ability to present and facilitate various types of content and material, understanding of adult learning styles and personality styles. Background in sales and call center desired.
