Key Job Focus:Own planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and driving strategic change initiatives. Ability to manage forecast and budget not just create the numbers but understand them, and work with all the key internal groups to make it happen and drive assumptions. Measure actuals against assumptions, identify drivers of results (positive or negative) and alert management to issues and trends. Anticipate problems (suggests solutions), and be comfortable presenting financials to internal customers and investorsAbility to deal with operations issues, from HR to organizational efficiency, cost controls, be a motivating force in the company, and implement appropriate processes and procedures…Help with financial strategy, cash management, fund raising, investor relations, and work closely with the CEO to take responsibility of these items and make sure it’s all happening, and while the CEO is traveling making business deals, the CEO should have confidence all of these things are happening without his active involvement or management of the process and actions.

This position will report directly to the CEO. In addition to the overall supervision of payables, payroll, fixed assets general ledger, billing, collections and commissions… this key position will also be responsible for review, analysis and adherence to sales contracts and other key business contracts, as well as operational leadership when the executive team is absent.
Key Position AccountabilitiesWork with the CEO and Executive Team to develop and implement accounting goals, objectives, policies and procedures and contribute to the strategic planning and growth of the organizationExercise due care and judgment in the disbursement of company funds and ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and enforced.Advise company on proper accounting procedures; recommend various policies and procedures regarding fiscal management activities of the company's projects to ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and enforcedBe a strong leader who can operate independently but also work closely with all levels in the organization and act as an Business Operations leader when the executive leadership is traveling or unavailable.Assist in the development of company and project budgets, participate in forecasting additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies; ensure the proper administration of the approved budgetsResponsible for the preparation of various periodic internal, external and financial reports for the Board of Directors, Senior Management, and other usersEnsure the quality and accuracy of prepared and changed reports based upon in Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesReview, understand and be able to explain variances on monthly performance reports and other related periodic reports prepared for executive management or department managersInteract with operational teams to determine reporting requirements necessary to effectively manage their departments and make sound business recommendations and decisionsBuild and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other company employees and the publicPerform related duties as assigned; support ongoing due-diligence and business and operational activities as necessaryOptimize cash management and maintain bank relationships
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline, CPA, CMA or MBA is required. Seven to ten plus years of experience in general financial accounting Experience in managing P&L, balance sheets, general ledger and corporate consolidation Knowledge of advanced financial and accounting business principles, including technical accounting rules, principles and standards (GAAP) that pertain to State and Federal rules, regulations and laws Experience evaluating, developing and implementing accounting and budgeting policies, practices, systems and controlsAbility to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goalsAbility to adapt and handle multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment; willingness to go the ‘extra mile’Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the ability to be a hands-on team playerKnowledge of computer systems and applicationsKeep informed of current trends and practices in field of expertise
