Vice President, Data Management

 

 

Responsible for enterprise database management systems used within EDMC.  This includes the architecture, design, development, management, and operations of enterprise databases associated with business applications.  This also includes the architecture, design, development, management, and operations of enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.  This position includes the management of staff including data architects, database administrators, database analysts and necessary managers.

 

KEY JOB ELEMENTS

 

1. Management of Information Technology Data Management Team.

2. Management of enterprise data architecture.

3. Management of enterprise business applications’ databases.

4. Management of database management system upgrades, either directly or through staff.

5. Management of data migration tools to extract, transform, and load data across the enterprise.

6. Management of assigned projects, either directly or through staff.

7. Work with assigned application teams to understand problems and needs, prioritize, determine solutions, and implement.

 

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

 

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, Masters preferred

2. 5+ years of experience in management or architect roles

3. 10+ years of experience in database management

4. Excellent, proven analytical and problem solving skills

5. Excellent interpersonal skills

6. Excellent organizational skills
