Vice President Operations/Plant Manager

ETM Manufacturing is a small, but growing manufacturer of metal components, chassis and enclosures for telecommunications, printing, lab and semiconductor equipment companies.  Since 1970 we have been producing high precision parts with quick deliveries to New England’s fast growing customers.  Our explosive 25%+ growth combined with tenatious Lean Manufacturing implementation makes ETM a great place to work.

 

We are looking for an experienced shop plant manager with a passion for continuous improvement.  Sheet metal fabrication expertise is strongly preferred.  This person will be responsible for efficient operation of sheet metal, machining and assembly lines with a focus on exceeding delivery, quality and profitability goals.  We need someone who excels at working with people from different backgrounds to produce exceptional results.

 

The ideal applicant would have:

 strong interpersonal skills managing direct labor employees, ensuring each employees strengths are optimized technical expertise in sheet metal fabrication with a variety of materials and thicknesses to continually improve quality demonstrated success with implementing a Lean Manufacturing culture and developing tools for a shop floor experience planning/scheduling using MRP scheduling systems, including line balancing for optimal flow.

 

This position will report to the President.  Additional training will be provided for our MRP system, Lean tools, Data Collection system and quality system.  In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a 4.5 day work week, a quarterly profit sharing plan (with no cap!), an 8% bonus if quality and on-time standards are met, a safety bonus, full health care insurance, plus 24 paid days off (holidays/vacation/personal).
