Web Developer / Graphic Designer / Flash

Overview

An immediate, graphic/web design position exists with Wasp Barcode Technologies.  This position will appeal to a person that enjoys the creative stimulation and freedom of creating a wide range of on-line and print material.  Working with a small, dynamic team, this person will have creative initiative, strong execution skills and a passion to see their creative designs be the catalyst for sales results. 

 



Role & Responsibilities

The Web Designer/Graphic Designer will design, create and produce flash presentations, graphics material, and modify and update the Wasp website.  They will also work with software development in the creation of graphic elements used in software products.   

 

Working with the marketing and sales team to design and produce:

-          product flash presentations

-          product material (eg. spec sheets, flyers)

-          sales support material (graphics presentations, handouts, flyers)

-          layout and content design for Wasp website(s)

-          adversting design and layout

-          email marketing material

-          web applications and/or integration with backend database

 



Job Requirements

Required skills include:

-          Design Tools: Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Quark, Adobe PDF

-          Markup Languages: HTML, CSS, XML

-          Office Applications/Other: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint

-          Proficency on Macintosh, with working ability on Windows PC

-          Capability to work and complete multiple projects concurrently

-          Able to work independently and in collaboration with others, in a fast-paced environment where execution is key

-          Demonstrated excellence in website design and graphic design material

-          Degree in Graphic Design, Communications or equivilant

-          2+ years experience

Desireable skills include:

-          Other Web application programing experience (AJAX)

-          Photographic experience

-          Video editing/production experience

-          Web Development: JavaScript, ASP.Net, MS SQL Server
