APPLICATIONS ANALYST II, BWH Cardiovascular IT

Description:The Application Analyst II is responsible for activities related to Brigham and Women's Hospital information systems with primary focus on the Cardiovascular Service Line systems. Responsibilities include analytic work for small, medium and large scale projects and/or large sub-projects. S/he will participate in the development and implementation, maintenance, enhancement and/or replacement of clinical systems. S/he is responsible to the Corporate Manager of Multidisciplinary PACS.Work closely with end-users to define business needs and to develop IT strategies and solutions. Strategies and solutions must comply with Partners IS standards and strategic directions.Perform analysis for small, medium and large scale projects and/or large sub-projects for the Cardiovascular Service Line and Medical Imaging IT.Plan, manage and over-see projects, utilizing recognized project management methodology including activities such as:' Definition of project scope and objectives' Project charters and revision documentation' Management and status reporting tools' Feasibility and cost benefit studies' Requirements definition (functional and/or technical)' System testing/quality assurance' Training' Implementation' Post-implementation/on-going support' Project administrative activities' DocumentationProvide project-specific direction and guidance to project team members to facilitate timely and quality results.Provide on-going project status reports to internal IS management, user groups and project steering committee as appropriate.On-going communication, feedback and follow-through with customers/peers are essential.Qualifications:Bachelor Degree required.Five or more years of experience in healthcare or clinical computer systems preferred.Knowledge of cardiology systems and/or software preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal skills communication skills.Ability to plan and manage a project, its tasks, dependencies, team members, other resources and timeline; and to prioritize and delegate accordingly.Strong PC skills required, knowledge of PC applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite and Project, PowerPoint preferred.Ability to be flexible, versatile and adaptable in day to day activities conducted in a multi-site environment.Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experiencePartners HealthCare offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a choice of six medical plans, two dental plans, prescription drug and vision coverage, generous Paid Time Off, disability coverage, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, and tuition reimbursement.Job Location: Boston, MAJob Number: 1572Company URL: http://www.partners.orgCompany Profile:Founded by Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, Partners HealthCare is a network of integrated hospitals and physicians providing cutting-edge patient care, teaching, and research.
