Brief Role Description:

Candidate will be part of a team responsible for maintaining 3 AS/400 Iseries machines. 550 With 2 LPARs - running our Production Applications 50s - used for Connect Direct 520 - Test / Development Machine Required Skills

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain Tapes / Schedules for Daily/Weekly/Monthly Saves Run documented processes Daily / Weekly / Monthly Assist in the Analysis of existing data. Archiving of data not needed on-line. Restoring data when needed. Daily performance Monitoring and Appropriate Tuning to keep the systems running @ their ultimate level. Monitor all processes - answering halt messages. Contacting Developers or Business owners when needed to correct issues. Maintenance of User Information - On AS/400 and other Systems Solving user Issues submitted on HelpDesk Tickets Functional Testing of new development when appropriate. Sharing in after hours support. Running Processes for customer Bills. Answering system messages. Analysis and assist in All AS/400 Operating System Upgrades. Receiving and installation of Program Temporary Fixes (PTFs). Assist in 3rd Party Software upgrades when appropriate. Coordinate Hardware repairs and Software support. Position Requirements

Required Skills/Competencies:

3+ years in Administration on Iseries LPAR experience HMC experience Must be able to work as part of a team and on his/her own Excellent Communication and Analytical skills Required Experience
