AS/400 Administrator

Location: Edison, NJ 08817 Employment Type: Full Time, Employee Reference Code: 1001037954 Our client in the Edison, NJ area is searching for an experienced AS/400 Administrator to manage all senior administrative functions of the AS/400 Duties and Responsibilities Ensure that the AS/400 system is functioning at an optimum level though proactive monitoring and addressing key functional thresholds Manage all senior administrative functions of the AS/400 Manage the AS/400 disaster/recovery functions Set up and support the integration between the AS/400 and 20+ internal servers Maintain efficient and secure communications between the AS/400 and external servers "On call" off hours to respond to any business critical system issues Recommend and execute all development, enhancement, thresholds on the AS/400 hardware/operating/application systems Manage annual maintenance budget and interface with outside vendorsSkills and Experience College degree or equivalent Certifications/training in networking, operating systems; MCP Preferred, A+ Certification 10+ years experience with AS/400 10 years experience with Help Desk and Network Admin Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to changing work environments Ability to think and act proactively and to solve problems efficiently and independently Excellent writing and communication skills Contact: PLEASE E-MAIL RESUMES TO: Apply by Email
