· AS/400 development and programming

· Control Language (CL) and COBOL programming

 Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the analysis, design, development, installation, modification and support of software applications.  Conducts programming tasks including program design, program specifications, program coding, debugging and documentation.  Conducts proper testing before promoting to production to ensure a quality product.  Works with appropriate levels of management to provide necessary research for business case and cost justification.  Interacts well with both internal and external customers. Is adaptable to an erratic schedule. Provides production system support outside of normal work schedules assigned.  Works with vendors and business partners to support purchased software solutions and interfaces. The ultimate purpose of this role is to produce automated solutions and services right the first time, every time.

 Hiring Requirements/Qualifications

· AS/400 developer/programmer - required

· Control Language (CL) and COBOL programming experience - required

· Unix experience is helpful/preferred

· Healthcare claims and/or Finance experience is helpful/preferred

· Some mainframe experience is also helpful
