Account Manager

Summary: To maintain and grow an assigned account list for which the AM is responsible, as demonstrated by revenue by Account.  The primary responsibility is to create relationships through interaction, information and activity that allow us to penetrate and own existing Accounts to meet the account goal set for each account quarterly.

 

Education: BA, BS or equivalent work experience

 

Experience: A minimum of two years sales, sales support, or customer support experience. High volume transaction sales experience is a plus.

 

 

Skills: Proven ability to solve complex problems and exercise independent judgment. Excellent written and oral communications and the ability to multitask are a must.  Effective time and assignment/territory management skills are necessary. Must have good interpersonal skills including but not limited to articulation, presentation and customer relationship management. Must be able to translate business objectives and obstacles into workforce readiness requirements and ultimately to training solution proposals.

 

 

Specific Tasks: The specific duties of the Account Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

 

§ Maintain consistent and quality contact and interaction with owned Accounts in order to have a complete understanding of the organization, needs and drivers.

§ Contact and cultivate relationships with target customers to define client needs and propose effective learning solutions.

§ Create and maintain a Strategic account Plan document for all owned accounts. 

§ Respond to Account Training Needs in a professional and timely manner.

§ Work closely with Business Development Manager Team as required maximizing the potential of every account.

§ Maintain accurate and complete client records in the contact management system. Enter detailed notes in the contact management system for ALL contact activities for every assigned account.

§ Complete sufficient sales transactions to achieve the assigned sales goals.

§ Other work assignments and projects as assigned.

 

Measures: The primary measures of performance for the Account Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

 

§  Quantity

-  Consistently conducts the activities and communications required within their account list to have a deep knowledge of every account and be able to both verbalize the relationship and provide accurate estimates of account revenues.

-  Consistently achieves sales goals each month.

§  Timeliness – work assignments and reports are consistently completed within the agreed and allotted time

§  Quality – work assignments and reports are consistently accurate and presented in a professional manner

§  Dependability – consistently at work and available to perform the assigned duties as determined by the agreed work day schedule and needs of the target customer base

§  Compatibility – consistently maintains good working relationships with employees, customers, partners, and vendors
