The Finance and Career Management Teams
The Finance and Career Management teams are seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst with experience using quantitative analysis to deliver insight and solve business problems. The ideal candidate will have significant academic or professional experience using quantitative analysis tools to assemble, analyze, and draw conclusions from business data.
The Analyst/Senior Analyst will participate as a key member of the team dedicated to creating and maintaining infrastructure to facilitate rapid reporting, review, and analysis of key metrics driving recruitment, retention, and corporate strategy at the firm. This position will also assist in strategic forecasting, modeling of staffing assumptions, and assessment of drivers of key staffing and financial decisions. The successful candidate for this position will have an outstanding service ethic and be comfortable tackling specific problems by applying a general strategic framework.
Job Responsibilities
In addition to project work on specific problems, the Analyst/Senior Analyst will play an ongoing role in the day-to-day business of the group, including:
Create and maintain databases/tools that summarize, analyze, and report key business metricsCoordinate with I.S. to design and implement new databases to support business functions of the groupPerform analysis and regular reporting for senior management and group leaders on:
- Departmental, program-based and team-level staffing and retention statistics
- Recruitment and retention goal-setting and identification of performance gaps
- Creation and maintenance mechanisms to track decisions across Finance and Career ManagementModel and analyze proposed goals across the firm and at the department levelCreate models to forecast future recruitment and retention initiativesAnalyze specific business problems during the year, including ad-hoc analysis, modeling, and forecasting
Candidate Attributes
Because the position will operate with a great deal of autonomy, the Analyst/Senior Analyst requires exceptional project management and planning skills. He or she must set own deadlines and milestones for projects to ensure that work is completed in the expected time frame. The Analyst/Senior Analyst must also demonstrate essential skills of the strategy and operations group:
2-5 years experience in a data-driven corporate environmentMastery of specific technology packages including MS Excel and/or MS AccessKnowledge of Crystal Enterprise preferredIntellectual curiosity and willingness to learn how to use new tools, techniques, and skillsAbility to manage multiple simultaneous projectsGreat analytical skill and rigorExceptional attention to detailMember service ethicDiscretion in handling sensitive firm, department and individual performance information
