Today, CA, formerly known as Computer Associates, serves the majority of the Fortune 1000 companies, as well as government organizations, educational institutions and thousands of other companies in diverse industries worldwide.We are currently looking for a qualified Application Administrator to join our Learning Organization at our worldwide headquarters in Islandia, NY.Key Responsibilities:* Assist provisioning of different technical environments that support internally deployed application implementation activities * Manage and promote objects from the development to the production environments * Monitor system and application performance of different applications and middleware systems * Participate in performance/stressing testing activities to validate system sizing estimates * Assist in different system installation activities * Document technical procedures that facilitate the knowledge transfer activities * Work with end users to ensure system performance is optimal for their needs * Work with technical teams to pinpoint and resolve problems * Ensure adherence to corporate policies and standards, acting as an escalation point for project team members to provide issue resolution * Locate CA SMEs for projects, and coordinating the activities of all assigned CA personnel * Develop status reports * Track project time and cost data through Projects Tracking * Support the project Risk Mitigation process * Contribute to success of application training projects * May be required to manage small training projects in the 15K to 30K rangeKey Requirements:* 2 to 4 years of application and project experience * Experience in SAP and Learning Management System (LMS) a plus * Knowledge of the following Education Tools: InfoPak, Captivate, Lectora, a plus * Experience in understanding, designing, and implementing technical infrastructures * Strong skills in the following: technical analytical, database knowledge, time management and workload, multi-tasking, teamwork and project, written and oral communication and interpersonal * Proven track record in meeting/exceeding stated deadlines and milestones * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred * Business travel of approximately 5% or less yearly is expected for this positionOur Islandia, NY campus offers several amenities, including: * Gourmet cafeteria with wide selection of cuisine * Montessori Child Development Center for children up to the age of six * Banking services * Fitness Center (state of the art facility complete with indoor full court basketball, indoor racquetball courts, cardio studio, outside running track, soccer fields, tennis courts) * Concierge services (dry cleaning, package shipping, stamps, movie rentals) * On-site chiropractorIt's an exciting time at CA.
