Application Support Specialist

 

The Help Desk Specialist will provide end user phone support, technical and non-technical, for an Internet based application.  Internet (browser settings, etc.) and application support experience required. This position entails taking ownership of support incident and managing them through to resolution.  The specialist will have daily interaction with end users, management, and development team.Position also necessitates researching new IT technologies and producing written summaries of such for non-technical consumption.

 

The position requires excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and organization skills and problem solving abilities, willingness to be on the phones, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), familiarity with E-Mail systems (preferably Outlook and Lotus Notes).  Familiarity with browser technology, Internet, network, and Microsoft Win and XP operating systems is required. 

 

College Degree and 2+ years IT/Support experience required.

 

Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to pass a background check.  Military experience a plus.
