NIC is looking for a resource to work with IT and business staff to formulate application system architecture and designs. Develops and applies industry best practice technology, design and methodology approaches to implement system solutions to support business processes. Develop architecture models and technical standards that enable the transition of systems from current state to future requirements. Consult with business regarding process improvements. Work to build cohesive interaction between technology and business units in problem solving efforts. Perform necessary management and administrative tasks, including planning, reporting, and financial process input. Mentors and directs IT staff on technical architecture and application design.

 

HIRING SPECIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Bachelor's Degree - MIS, Computer Science or related field, 10+ years experience in medium to large corporate IT environment.5+ years experience in architect or lead technical role.3+ years experience in a Business Intelligence environment.Knowledge of health care systems to provide technical and business expertise in the development, support and maintenance of systems. Knowledge and experience in system modeling or diagramming approaches.Projects follow SDLC, use all architectural documents effectively as tools to create solution design that meets business requirements and is within technical standards.Experience in various Information Technology platforms (Client Server, Data Warehouse, Internet/Intranet, Electronic Commerce, etc) and how each fits within and/or complements the enterprise architecture.Architectural experience in a Data Warehouse environment including: Strong logical and physical data modeling skills (normalization, dimensional (STAR), intermediate tables for integration)Experience with an enterprise data modeling tool (ERWIN, PowerDesigner, Oracle Designer)Strong ETL background (SQL, SAS, DataStage, Informatica, etc.)Strong Business Intelligence background (Business Objects, Cognos, Microsoft Reporting Services.)Worked with and/or modeled structures for multiple OLAP and OLTP databases (MS SQL Server, Sybase IQ, Sybase ASE, Oracle, DB2, Teradata, etc.)
