Job DescriptionWith little guidance from senior staff, performs business analysis, use case analysis, develops software requirements, functional specification, and designs the user interface (if required) for simple to moderately complex enhancements to be made to existing MSA software products Works on a team with software developers, QA, documentation, and client service, in order to ensure the timely delivery of the software enhancements / modifications to which they are assigned. Will act as the team lead during the initial stages of the development process for simple enhancements to the software Create test cases for improvements and enhancements of MSA software Perform quality assurance testing on improvements and enhancements made to MSA software Has a good understanding of the software products they are involved in as well as the industry that the software is designed to support Begins to contribute to the product planning process for determining enhancements to be included in future releases. Their role in this process is as a contributor and not as a driver of the process Works directly with QA and Application Support to investigate and solve specific client application issues. This requires the use of various database access tools and their overall knowledge of the application Understands the overall software development process and how their role fits Reads industry related news to stay current with clients/industry Attends on-going training classes to achieve personal, professional, and technical improvementsRequired SkillsRequires a four-year degree or equivalent experience Requires the ability to begin to interact directly with clients and internal development staff with less direct supervision from senior staff Working knowledge of MS Office including; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access/MS Query Familiarity with SQL, Visual Basic (for prototyping only), data manipulation functions, and Visio (flowcharting tool) Conceptual knowledge of business process analysis and software requirements analysis Must have strong oral and written communication skills Able to understand and document business processes Occasional travel (usually less than 10%) Previous media experience desiredAs an international industry leader, we can offer you an exceptional working environment, salary commensurate with experience and an incredible benefits package including:
