The University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for an Applications Analyst. Initially this project-oriented position will design a university website to provide a single access point to information regarding Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine (STEMM) programs at the university. Possibility exists for continued employment beyond initial one-year funding period.
 
The Applications Analyst is responsible for ongoing development and technical support of a central university website for anyone interested in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine (STEMM). The website will interface with other college/unit websites providing a single point of entry for someone researching STEMM programs, events and experts at the University of Cincinnati. This includes the preparation of a statement of work, design specification and test plan. Additionally responsible for the coordination and deployment of all new modifications and the development of technical documentation for the website. Position will handle any day-to-day administration/maintenance of website changes and updates and serve as the primary technical liaison between the Provost office and the colleges/units.
 
Min. Quals.: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a computer-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. At least two years of experience is required in developing website applications using Cold Fusion and SQL Server. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to think creatively, work collaboratively with IT representatives in the colleges/units, and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge of other web technologies such as Fusebox, Linus, Windows 200, IIS, XML, Java, JSP, ASP, ASP.Net, Apache, and/or Tomcat. Prior work experience in a university setting is a plus, and prior UC experience would be ideal.
