Description:ResponsibilitiesProvide SAP Basis expertise in both project settings and ongoing operational support roles. Implement and support SAP development and production systems. Define and document technical system requirements and systems management procedures. Interface with ITS and other infrastructure providers to manage SAP environments.About the OpportunityParticipate in project implementations, upgrades, support and specific client initiatives. Responsible for Basis and Authorization management. Primary tasks will include:Implements and supports SAP development and production systems.Designs and configures SAP security roles.Implements and supports SAP Enterprise PortalsAdministers and maintains security across all SAP Systems and applications.Defines and documents technical system requirements and systems management procedures.Creates troubleshooting documents for support and maintenance of each solution. Provides training to production support for troubleshooting and problem resolution.Performs SAP Basis & Authorization administration and technical core competencies tasks including SAP software installation, upgrade, installing add-on software components, SAP profile parameter changes, workload analysis, system error analysis and establishing standard Basis background jobs and system health checks and monitoring.Analyzes system performance & security, database performance and establishes OSS and EarlyWatch connections where appropriate.Qualifications:Understanding of the SAP R/3, SAP BI, ABAP, JAVA, Solution Manager, CUA, Biller Direct, UCES, CRM, ITS, and associated technologies.Strong working knowledge of HP/Compaq/Sun hardwareUnix (Solaris 10) and Linux (Enterprise 10) Operating System.Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following: Basic knowledge of ABAP development.Basic working knowledge of various programming languages, systems design, testing and full life cycle systems development methodologies.
