Description:Job Summary:In concert with IT Infrastructure and NetApp Product organizations, support the "NetApp on NetApp" program to establish and maintain a "Customer Showcase" for internal use of company products. Drive cross functional efforts with members from product development, sales, services, marketing, and information technology (IT) organizations to best position use of company products internally. Present to current and prospective customers on best practices for storage management and internal company program. Lead effort to test early versions of company products, and provide feedback to engineering on current functionality and offer suggestions for future enhancements.Career progression: IT Leadership, Product Marketing, Service or Product positions Essential Functions: Participate in "NetApp on NetApp" strategy:- Work in cross functional teams with members product development sales, services, marketing, and information technology organizations to develop comprehensive program to showcase NetApps products to current and prospective customers- Participate in the alignment of the NetApp on NetApp strategy with overall IT roadmap and aid in developing detailed project plans- Lead phases of program, provide regular updates on status of program, and escalate issues to management for resolutionSupport Customer Showcase- Develop presentations for CIOs and their staff, on best practices for storage management and internal program at NetApp- Support sales and marketing efforts to position company products with target audience in IT industry and develop case studies based upon internal program- Work closely with product development on current issues facing IT organizations and offer suggestions on how NetApps products can address these issuesProvide Executive Briefing Center Activities- Proactively demonstrate NetApp IT capabilities and message to internal NetApp employees, NetApp customers and NetApp prospects on a regularly scheduled basis (open houses, briefings, etc)- Develop and maintain materials/repository for customer briefings- Assume thought leadership role in best practices for storage management, regularly speak at industry forums, and facilitate development of white papers on best practicesEducation and Experience:- A minimum of 12 years of experience is required. - A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree is required; or equivalent experience.- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.Qualifications:Requirements: Proven past experience in:- Executive briefings and understanding business issues and processes, and articulating solutions and proposals in a relevant business context.- Excellent communication skills and ability to talk with both technical and non-technical staff- In-depth technical experience in IT infrastructure area, especially storage management- Understanding of management and operational challenges involved in managing complex systems & storage - Understanding and operational knowledge of complex and highly integrated systems employing Oracle DB, Oracle ERP, Siebel and/or PeopleSoft systems- Developing and implementing storage and related policies and best practices for multi-billion dollar company- Previous experience in leading complex integration projects - Developing and operating to multi-million dollar operational budget/P&Ls- Monitoring and overseeing the execution of project activities and overall responsibilities for on-time delivery and results.- Interfacing with internal customers to gather project requirements and performing due diligence as required.- Accountability for ultimate team's performance and productivity.- Providing technical guidance for trouble shooting and issue resolution when needed.- Recommending and securing consensus with various IT groups for solutions that are cost effective.- Maintaining healthy vendor relationships.- 10+ years IT infrastructure experience, including managing Servers & Storage in a global environmentCritical Success Factors:- Must provide evidence of increased managerial responsibility and technical growth.- Strong initiative and management skills; ability to work in both a self-directed and team environment.- Must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently, work under deadlines, maintain budget, and be able to produce under a mission critical environment. - The ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.- Experience with vendor/carrier relationship management and negotiation.- Past, hands-on experience with or in-depth knowledge of related hardware and software including server applications, storage systems, information life cycle management and databases.Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceTo learn more about NetApp employee benefits go to: http://www.netapp.com/jobs/benefits.htmlJob Location: Sunnyvale, CAJob Number: RUSANAP2120-592770Company URL: http://www.netapp.comCompany Profile:NetApp creates innovative storage and data management solutions that help accelerate business breakthroughs and deliver outstanding cost efficiency.
