Company: Whole Foods Market Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Location: US-CO-Boulder Job Category: Food Services/Hospitality Job Description This position will work closely with our Store Team Leaders, Regional Team Leaders, Regional Construction, Facility Team Leaders and IT Coordinator to provide the highest level of service in store technology in an efficient and effective manner. This position reports to the Rocky Mountain Regional Sr. Coordinator of Information Technology, and will be responsible for leading the Regional Help Desk, the Retail Systems Field Associates, and the In-Store Systems Coordinators (SSIs). This position will focus on store support, facilities support, remodels, and new store openings. Will do the following principle duties and responsibilities: • Hiring, training, developing, and leading Help Desk, Retail Systems Field Associates, and the In-Store Systems Coordinators (ISSC) Team Members who co-report to our Store Team Leaders. • Building high functioning and empowered Team Members and Teams. • Leading the implementation of IT technology for new store openings and store remodels. Responsibilities include attending design meetings, marking up architectural drawings, preparing & managing the IT budget & project schedule, sourcing & ordering equipment, managing the implementation of the store infrastructure & POS system, scheduling & leading the IT onsite support team. • Provide ongoing support for our Stores & Facilities, including supporting and upgrading the POS systems and store infrastructure (wired & wireless networks, phone system, price verifiers, kiosks, hand-held devices) • Identifying and implementing additional Help Desk tools and processes that will further improve the quality and speed of the Help Desk services. • Creating technical and procedural documentation necessary to support the stores and facilities. • Implementing new technology in the stores and facilities. • Ensuring that store & facility IT infrastructure & store technology is properly maintained and repaired. • Ensuring the highest level of scan quality in the stores. • Working in stores and facilities to perform SSI tasks when necessary. • Effectively managing vendor relationships. • Assisting in strategic planning for the Information Technology Team. • Assisting in the budgeting process. • Other Duties as assigned.   Must have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: • Knowledge of Help Desk processes, tools, and technologies. • Knowledge of IT infrastructure technology (PCs, servers, networks). • We strongly prefer candidates with a working knowledge of point of sale systems, retail hosting system, store scale systems, and hand-held devices; however, candidates with equivalent consumer goods experience will be considered. • Proven ability to begin projects and see them through to completion. • Ability to multi-task. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • A creative and playful spirit. • Proven leadership capabilities with the desire to mentor and grow others. • At least 4 years of experience in information technology. • The ability to travel, because this position will need to travel frequently within the region. • Some of the above experience can be exchanged for determination, drive, and proven success for an exceptional candidate.   Physical working conditions: 1. Lifting: 40 to 50 pounds 2. In an 8 hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours. 3. Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. 4. Requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching. 5. Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals. 6.
