Job Description Assistant Database Administrator Burns & McDonnell has an exciting opportunity in our Kansas City offices for an Assistant Database Administrator.  This position is responsible for database design, development and maintenance as well as defining, implementing and maintaining procedures to ensure data security and integrity.  This position defines database standards, structures, procedures and techniques in addition to providing guidance to development personnel on data extraction and manipulation. Qualified candidates will possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science or a related field with zero to three years of applicable experience.  This position requires the ability to work well in a team environment, the willingness to be mentored by senior IT members, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills.  Knowledge of Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server database administration and SQL development are a plus.  Solid troubleshooting skills are a must. As a 100% employee owned firm, we offer stock ownership, incentive bonus programs and matching 401(k) plans.
