Duties and Responsibilities: The Infrastructure Consultant in this position is responsible for supporting the corporate web infrastructure, web hosting platforms, and managing tools for application development. This includes configuration, optimization, and trouble shooting of the web infrastructure, e.g. proxy servers, web servers, page servers, media servers, etc. Duties include working with clients to provide web hosting options and assistance with web application configuration. Duties also include managing, upgrading, and planning for web platforms and application development tools. This position requires rotating on-call support for production systems.

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements: Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Candidates must have a good understanding of web server configuration, networking, and network security or solid experience in a related infrastructure field. Experience in ColdFusion, ASP.NET, or Java web application development, scripting, batch files, and databases is also desirable. The successful candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and planning skills, as well as demonstrated competency in problem solving, analysis, reasoning, and decision making.
