BI Data Architect
Join P.F. Chang’s China Bistro as our new BI Data Architect at our home office in beautiful North Scottsdale! TheBI Data Architect will be responsible for data integration, data modeling and creating uniform data standards across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting standards, ensuring designs are complete and that they comply with approved standards and consult with other architects, developers and analysts about information architecture. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop logical and physical data models to create and maintain database schemas for business applications. Work with clients, business analysts, technical staff, and project team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational and dimensional databases. Review current data structures and recommend optimizations and reconfigurations as warranted. Recommend and evaluate new tools and methodologies. Work closely with 3rd party vendors to integrate selected packages. Participate in the development and publication of best practices, standards and policies related to the ownership and usage of corporate information assets. Ensures data models are correct and data is cleansed for Business Intelligence. Defines standards for data integration and the creation of business object schemas or canonical formats to facilitate data exchange. Bachelor’s degree or greater in Computer Science or a related field. 4+ years technical skills with data warehouse / data mart / OLAP technologies. 4+ years experience with logical and physical modeling along with design and implementation. 5+ years of experience using T-SQL with a relational DBMS such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server. Familiarity with MicroStrategy, Proclarity or one of the other major BI Reporting tools such as Hyperion, Business Objects, etc. Experience defining and executing on strategies to create/maintain/expose metadata, reference data, and data dictionaries. Expertise with Data Architecture, design & development, Data Modeling, Data mining; Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005. Expertise in one or more OLAP/Reporting tools (preferably Microsoft Analysis Services); Expertise with ETL tools (preferably MS SQL EIS); Expertise with Data Modeling tools such as ERWin. Understand all facets of cube design (dimension types, dimension designs, cube designs). Be comfortable working to deadlines. Ability to provide guidance and expertise in ETL/EAI frameworks and development, along with integration of the tools.
