Benefits Analyst
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Develops and documents benefit related processes and guidelines Coordinates on-site benefit events with vendors Assists with annual open enrollment and renewal process Conducts new hire benefit orientations and other benefit related presentations, such as open enrollment Administers leaves of absences in accordance with applicable state and federal law Administers and coordinates company wide service award program Administers and coordinates company wide tuition reimbursement program Prepares benefit survey submissions and prepares benchmark reports Accurately communicates benefits to employees, answers questions, and assists employees in resolving benefit matters with carriers Prepares benefit communication materials, such as benefit presentations, newsletter articles, new hire kits, and open enrollment kits Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of 401(k) enrollments, contributions, and terminations Responsible for accurate and timely audit, reconciliation, and submission of premium billing for benefit carriers Reviews and processes enrollments, terminations, life status event changes, including COBRA events Extracts and formats benefit reports from HRIS system for analysis Audits employee benefit elections, such as overage dependent enrollments Maintains employee benefit files and follows up on incomplete materials Works on special benefits projects that may ariseMinimum Job Requirements Minimum of 3 years related human resources or benefits experience; including prior exposure to acquisitions and due diligence processes Bachelor's Degree Benefits Certification is preferred Strong MS Office – Excel, Word, & PowerPoint HRIS knowledge of Ceridian is a plus Must be a strong team player, have excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and time management skills Able to generate new and creative approaches to benefit processes and think outside the box Must have the ability to work independently and interface with employees at all levels of the organization Ability to maintain confidentiality Core Competencies Team Player Customer Focus Initiative Organization Independence Analysis Skills Creativity Adaptability Oral and Written Communication SkillsExternal/Internal Interfaces: Interfaces with managers and employees at various levels throughout the organization and external benefit vendors/carriers.Essential Mental Functions Organization and planning skills; be pro-active Problem solving and analysis Creativity Uses judgment to make logical, rational, and objective decisions Essential Physical Functions Reaching, - occasional Standing to Walking–occasional to continuous Sitting – continuous Manual dexterity – continuous for use of keyboard and mouse Bending, kneeling, crawling –not requiredInterested candidates please email your resume to recruiting@synnex.com EOE
