Building Engineer - WF1622

We have an excellent opportunity for a Building Engineer located at our headquarters in Ashburn, VA.

This position will support the Facilities Manager by performing preventative maintenance services and repairs on all facility equipment as well as attend to the facilities requests of employees.

Responsibilities: assist maintenance of facility inside and outside; performs corrective, routine, preventative and requisitioned maintenance as required on plumbing, electrical, machine servicing, carpentry, painting and internal moves; works closely with contractors; maintains all OSHA, state and county regulations and inspections; must be able to assume lead role in the absence of the Facilities Manager; will have on-call responsibilities as required.

Requirements: Must have good practical mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and electrical knowledge, including but not limited to a minimum of 2 years experience in construction, industrial or commercial building maintenance; Must have experience in energy management systems, such as Johnson Controls (troubleshoot problems/make changes); Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds; Must be able to use all tools of the trade efficiently; Must be self-motivated, present a professional demeanor both in personal appearance and work performance and be able to understand and comply with all applicable regulations and procedures; Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively; Attending classes, seminars and work-shops in related fields is required; The successful candidate will be subject to a Government security investigation, must be able to obtain a security clearance which requires US citizenship, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
