Supports efforts to ensure that information systems support departmental objectives and information management needs. Works closely with departmental customers to conduct business analysis and identify business objectives and requirements. Collects information to assist in the development of technology plans and strategies. Assists in planning and implementing systems related projects. Supports customer satisfaction by monitoring the delivery of ongoing information services to designated clients.QualificationsFive years of experience in planning and applying information technology to one or more business functions OR a bachelor's degree and three years of experience in planning and applying information technology to one or more business functions.The candidate will be responsible for the planning and implementation of business changes in the Office of Conflict of Interest and Commitment software applications. The software is a proprietary program that has been licensed from ClickCommerce. The candidate must have experience in Java script and SQL and an aptitude for configuring software tools. Strong process and requirements gathering skills as well as experience in implementing enterprise level software is preferred.The candidate must be a team player who has a dedicated and detail-oriented work ethic with superb written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff and faculty at all organizational levels is necessary. The candidate should also possess skills necessary to recognize and manage environmental and organizational factors that affect the COIC application. During the initial project phase, the candidate s technical skills will be primary. Once the implementation phase is complete, more business analyst skills will be required. The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and provision of training for end-users and the development of metrics and reporting systems for the business unit. The ideal candidate conducts business analysis with the Associate Dean for Administration and departmental customers to identify and refine business objectives and requirements. This office reviews documents that include personal financial information of employees and proprietary information of the University and third parties; the candidate must have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to act with discretion. Knowledge of the research regulations related to academic medical centers is desired. Experience with research administrative and/or compliance business units (e.g. audit, quality assurance, etc.) are preferred. Additional Job Details:This position will have dual reporting lines to the Associate Dean for Administration and the Director of Information Technology Services for the School of Medicine.
