Business Development - Defense Communication

Job Title: Business Development 5 Job Code: RFCD12071029   Job Description: Identify and develop profitable business strategies that are synergistic with Harris RFCD business Analyze trends and growth rates in defense communications markets and identify business opportunities to enter these markets. Participates in the preparation of business plans and product development plans. Conducts business development and strategic marketing presentations. Maintains technical proficiency and consults with defense communications markets that provide opportunities for company products and services. Keeps informed of new products and other information of interest to the division. Investigates new applications or improvements to products. Provides marketing intelligence to sales management and may participate in the development of division forecasts and strategies. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business data Interface well with other departments including finance, engineering, product management, executive management  Qualifications: Bachelors degree required, MBA or graduate degree preferred with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. Successful track record in the sales and marketing to the Federal Government required. Ability to read and analyze corporate balance sheet and income statements Experience developing strategic marketing data that includes sizing new markets Must be familiar with all Microsoft Office applications programs Must have experience preparing and delivering articulate PowerPoint presentations This position requires for approximately 10% travel for business purposes Experience:  Experience in Defense Communications Industry is a plus Sales experience of communication equipment required; ideally experience with tactical communications products. Must be a proactive, self starter, with demonstrable experience working with minimal supervision Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Secret clearance.
