Arrangement:  Full-Time Salaried Employee

Travel: Up to 100%

 

This position is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of Business Intelligence (BI) analytical solutions for our clients.  The Business Intelligence Architect will manage source data analysis, data modeling, ETL and Business Intelligence tool evaluations and configurations. Leadership responsibilities of the position include managing internal and client technical resources and knowledge transfer to client staff.  The Business Intelligence Architect will be responsible for ensuring all design and development methodologies conform to industry best practices and processes.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Responsible for overall technical design of Business Intelligence solutions for SilverTrain clients.

· Manage technical strategies in regard to data acquisition, transformation, loading, and presentation for clients.

· BI tool evaluation and selection.

· Manage data architecture design and implementation

· Manage source data profiling and mapping tasks.

· Manage all design tasks including data modeling, ETL design and BI tool configuration.

· Develop data and user security strategies with the client.

· Provide technical leadership to teams that include ETL developers, BI tool developers, Data modelers, DBAs and operations analysts.

· Assist client with hardware evaluation, selection, configuration and capacity planning.

· Provide quality oversight for all activities related to data cleansing, data quality and data consolidation using standard data modeling methodologies and processes.

· Participate in business requirements sessions.

· Participate in Strategic Assessments for clients by developing the technical solutions that address client requirements.

 

Position Requirements:

· 10+ years in technology with a minimum of 5+ years in consulting, solutions delivery management, or comparable field.

· Minimum 8-10 years experience in design, development, and implementation of BI technology solutions.

· 5+ years managing technical resources on Business Intelligence projects.

· 5+ years hands-on designing of multi-dimensional and ER data models.

· 5+ years hands-on ETL and BI tool strategy, design and development.

· Experience developing configuration management strategies.

· Experience developing performance management strategies.

· Experience in developing production support procedures.

· Experience performance tuning and optimizing DBMS and application platforms.

· BS in Computer Science or MIS.

· DBMS: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2

· ETL: Informatica, DataStage, MS Integration Services, OWB

· Analytical BI Tools: Business Objects, Cognos, Microsoft, Oracle. MicroSrategy

· Data Modeling: ERwin, MS Visio, Oracle Designer

· ERP: Oracle, SAP Banner, Microsoft Dynamics

· Languages: PL/SQL, Java, .NET

 

Certifications Desired:

· TDWI, CBIP

· Oracle, Microsoft, Business Objects, Cognos
