Position Description

Hitachi is looking for professionals in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing who have a proven track record of success, aptitude, and leadership.  The position requires a broad range of skills and the ability to step in to different roles depending on the size and scope of an engagement.  The qualified candidate would have proven experience developing successful Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions.RequirementsAssume the role of a project lead with regard to business intelligence tools and projectsEngage customers in order to gather information, provide thought leadership regarding potential business intelligence best practices/methods of approach, translate customer requirements into a feasible custom solution, and execute the solution Data model development, documentation, writing custom scripts and/or code following best practices, and as needed, providing the client with hands-on solution training that are on time, within scope and of the highest qualityWork in a “hands-on” capacity to devise and deliver custom business intelligence solutionsShare best practices with other members of the consulting teamExperience developing applications in Hyperion, Cognos, Business Objects, Outlooksoft or other BI tools. Strong conceptual knowledge of data cubes (Business Intelligence implementations). Familiar with all aspects of OLAP/MOLAP technology. Experience in developing business Intelligence strategiesAnalyze and document reporting requirementsProvide maintenance and production support on existing reportsPerform quality assurance on reportsQualifications­­­­­­­­Demonstrate “hands-on” competency in business intelligence tools (Hyperion, Cognos, Business Objects, Outlooksoft or other BI tools)Strong time management skills and multitasking abilitiesGood oral, written and presentation skillsSystems implementation skills:  requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support General consulting skills, including: team facilitation, business case development, and supply chain assessment / strategy. Experience with business intelligence tools and techniquesAbility to present demonstrations to high-level senior managementFunctional Skills

· Analytical skills, problem solving ability

· System design and solution architecture expertise

· Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills

· Strong written / oral communication skills

· Previous consulting experience a plus

 

Travel

Must be willing to travel up to 100% within the Mid-West region
