Description
The purpose of this job is to identify process improvement opportunities for complex business problems, develop, and implement fully integrated solutions using the principles of process excellence and standard tools.
Key responsibilities of the Product Operations Manager include:Identifying gaps in current processes and improving efficiency Monitoring the improvement efforts Analyzing and evaluating business results Working in collaboration with various internal teams Analyzing data and continually improving quality Executing financial and operational auditsDeveloping automated reportsResearching business and system process enhancementsPulling, analyzing, and summarizing large amounts of data
Individuals in this position will bring advanced skills in process design and project management to the CCM organization.
This position will be the internal experts on designing and implementing business process solutions.
They may act as consultants and/or team leads, assigned on a full time basis to high priority, complex capability initiatives.
They provide guidance to the Process Owners when necessary to facilitate the adoption of the process changes.
§ Accountable for measurable results in terms of project benefit realization.- Primarily serves as a process design and project implementation expert on complex capability initiative teams to:
§ Design, develop and implement solution for complex business issues
§ Create policies to guide the process design and project implementation
§ Create procedures to support the operational resources
§ Additionally, performs all of the following process related functions, based on project requirements and stage in project lifecycle:
§ Diagnostic assessment of current state processes and results
§ Gathers requirements through a variety of means including interviews and focus groups
§ Systems requirements development and test case development
§ Planning and leading initiative rollout and adoption support
§ Act as a change agent to develop and implement best practices throughout the organization
§ Recommends process changes to Process Owners
Qualifications
§ Proven ability to influence courses of action when others are directly accountable for outcomes
§ Well-developed interpersonal skills used to influence the behavior of others, some of who will be at higher job levels
§ Ability to convey complex thoughts, both written and oral, in clear, concise and timely fashion
§ Establishes trust and credibility at all levels of the organization
§ Openly and actively communicates information and takes initiative to communicate extensively
§ Holds herself / himself mutually accountable for the teams performance
§ Realizes the performance potential of teams
§ Builds and leverages a network of experts within and external to the Process Organization to supplement one's own expertise
§ Proven ability to bring a strategic perspective; translates strategic initiatives into tactical actions
§ Experience to function effectively in a virtual team environment
§ Learns new concepts quickly and applies them in the course of their work
Qualifications
Minimum requirements include:
· Demonstrated ability to independently and successfully apply process acumen to process improvement projects.
· Have process design knowledge and a full understanding of process reengineering conceptsSolid data analysis and data management experience Project management experience
· Operational knowledge of health insurance business, particularly of the overall workflow and business process intersectionsA high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in health or business administration Superior communication skills
Candidates who also have one or more of the following will be preferred:Product or program management experience A background in managed care Operations or disease management experience Experience with quality improvement initiatives Familiarity with multiple data management applications
