Business Systems Analyst

Position will support the Product Management department. Knowledge of existing MEDai products is critical, as the Business Systems Analyst will be involved in enhancements to these products as well as the development of new products.

 

Responsibilities Documentation, including but not limited to user manuals and training material.Testing that involves new development and troubleshooting of existing functionalityProvide technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations, and enhancement of existing systems; participate in structured walkthrough and technical reviews Prepare functional specifications from which programs will be written; design, code, test, debug, and document programs Prepare design documents and technical papers explaining the approaches to be taken in the architectures of systems Translate business strategies into technical visions and strategies

Requirements Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn, the functionality of MEDai productsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high aptitude for critical thinking.  Knowledge of medical claims data and clinical coding helpfulMust possess good time management skills and the ability to work independentlyMust be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously Must be very detail-oriented, with the ability to track projects to closure Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of managed care or third-party payor environment a plus Knowledge of SQL a plus

 

Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience is strongly recommended

 

Experience Minimum 3-5 years experience in a position (or positions) requiring strong analytical and communication skills.Two years direct experience with Web application development Web site design and development experience in a Microsoft environment Working knowledge and skills in ASP.Net, C#.Net, VBScript, and XML Working knowledge of database and web connectivity, plus database management and file access methods
