Business Systems Analyst/Quality Analyst

The Texas FAIR Plan Association (TFPA) seeks a Business Systems Analyst/Quality Analyst with one to three years of property and casualty insurance experience to work and consult with business units and system vendors to support day to day operations and insurance system applications for TFPA underwriting, claims and billing departments.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

§ Provide analytical support for solution development and system changes, i.e. understand application data requirements, document system functionality and requirements, configure applications, and test system functionality.

 

§ Resolve service and/or system issues by gathering and analyzing related information, identifying the cause of the problem and investigating possible solutions.

 

§ Help Desk function(s), including - record, investigate and evaluate production problems by understanding the sequence of processes/commands that led to the reported problem.  Perform in-depth tests to diagnose the problem, report and monitor issues sent to our system vendor for resolution.

 

§ Create and execute quality assurance tests to evaluate new software programs or fixes to make sure they work as designed.

 

§ Maintain quality by performing post-implementation quality audits to ensure integrity.

 

§ Maintain systems and or processes by analyzing and providing support to internal and external customers.

 

Education/Skill/Experience Requirements:

 

§ Bachelors Degree in MIS, Business Administration, Finance, or other related degree.

§ Must have 1 to 3 years of Property & Casualty Insurance experience.

§ Two to Three years of Business Analyst experience.

§ Must have strong oral and written communication and analytical skills and be able to work well with others.
