Cabling Project Manager

***Position is in Burlington, VT**** SAIC's Homeland Security Solutions Division currently has an opening for a Cabling Project Manager. JOB DESCRIPTION: Scope: This position requires an individual that has experience in teambuilding with customers/vendors/architects. Position requires frequent interaction with Federal Government Executives, outside vendors and suppliers, and other cross-functional team members. Job Duties include overseeing projects from beginning to end. Primary Responsibilities include: • Manage the nationwide implementation of customer low voltage cabling projects • Manage contracted resources to complete commercial cabling projects • Maintain project communications with customer including project team members and executive management • Manage site readiness, system delivery and support activation for projects • Drive customer expectations and expected project outcomes • Responsible for managing multiple projects • Complete project dates as scheduled within Microsoft Project • Improve customer quality and satisfaction • Improve customer expectation setting • Participate in process feedback loops and process improvements • Oversee and direct contracted field labor • Pricing/Costing • Build long term customer relationships by consistently meeting expectations and offering innovative solutions • Identify new business opportunities • Additional duties as determined. REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline OR equivalent experience and 9 years of related experience (minimum 3 years PM experience). Candidate must have experience as a Project Manager in overseeing the design, install and implementation of Federal Government Information Technology Infrastructure and Telecommunication Systems. Typical systems are: Local Area Network, Paging System, Intercom System, Security/Intercom System, CATV System, IP Access Control System, CCTV System, and Telephone System. • Structured Cabling planning and implementation • Network installation/maintenance • Communications contracting experience • Operations • Human Relations • Customer Service • Organizational Ability • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently Candidate must also have any combination of the following: • Construction or related field experience • BICSI: RCDD, RCDD/LAN Specialist, Installer, Technician • SIECOR: TR-02-S, TR-06-S, TR-07-S, TR-07-S+, TR- 20-S • Cisco: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCIE-ISP Dial, CCDA, CCDP, CCNA-WAN Switching, CCNP WAN Switching, CCIE WAN Switching ***Candidate must be willing to travel as much as 25%. This may include overnight stays*** ***Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.**** DESIRE SKILLS: • Previous IT Systems deployment Project Management experience • Federal Government Experience Preferred • Basic understanding of accounting and business financial concepts • Candidates with active DHS clearances are strongly preferred.
