Cellular Plan Advisor in IT Finance Dept.

The Information Technology Finance Department, located in Walnut Creek, has an opening for a Telecommunications Associate.

 

Qualifications:  The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:

· 5 years recent experience with the procurement, inventory, and billing of Cellular and Paging devices.

· 5 years customer service experience, preferably in the telecommunications field.

· Some exposure to USA Mobility paging, Verizon, Nextel & ATT cellular, and Blackberry PDA technology.

· Must be proficient with PC, specifically with advanced Excel skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and time management skills and a strong team player.

· Able to work with minimal instructions in a high volume, fast paced environment.

· Energetic, well organized, and a quick learner.

 

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Respond to internal requests for new pager and cellular equipment, replacements, and changes to service.

· Respond to internal requests for pager and cellular equipment support and trouble-shooting.

· Accurately maintain multiple equipment inventories and invoice tracking databases.

· Process vendor telecommunication invoices for payment and resolve discrepancies.

· Research payment history, credits, debits and adherence to negotiated rates to insure proper payments.

· Facilitate the re-charge and allocation of the company’s cellular and paging expenses.

· Interface with Accounting Department to insure that invoices are paid accurately and on time.

· Interact with vendors on billing and service issues and maintain good business relationships with vendors.

· Monitor and analyze cellular and paging expenses to recover and avoid telecommunication expenses.

· Analyze cellular & paging usage and rate plans and make recommendations to management.

· Maintain existing cellular & paging contracts and participate in future contract negotiations.

· Participate in projects and new product evaluations to improve processes and provide new mobile solutions.

 

Duration of Position: 5/12/2008-11/14/2008. After November the candidate most likely will go direct with client if performance is good.
