The S&T CTO is responsible for the defining and implementing the S&T technology strategy, and insuring correct alignment of the Corporate and BU Technology Strategy plans. The S&T CTO will participate in the development of the Unisys corporate technology strategy & direction, which will embrace leading edge technologies, clarify and enhance our external corporate brand, improve our products and services, and leverage internal capabilities towards greater commonality and critical mass. The S&T CTO will serve as external corporate spokespersons for the corporate technology strategy to analysts, media and clients. The S&T CTO will take lead stewardship of selected key corporate technology initiatives, including development, communication, and deployment across the entire company. The S&T CTO will take responsibility for the implementation of the corporate technology strategy within the business unit, including all critical strategic programs and client projects. The S&T CTO will develop, implement, and share the specific business unit extensions to the corporate technology strategy needed to differentiate Unisys within specific vertical / horizontal markets. The S&T CTO will take responsibility for the skill enhancement objectives of architects across their respective business units in accordance with the requirements of the Technology Strategy.QualificationsRequired:At least 15 years experience in a technical environment with a focus on product development and/or software services. The required background includes hardware development, application lifecycle and development to CMMI Level 3, hardware engineering (mechanical and electrical) and transition to manufacturing experience. Hardware background should include familiarity with blade technologies, network infrastructure components, processor technologies with a preference for Intel. Experience managing computer hardware design with an understanding of modern hardware design. Must have a good understanding of board design and mechanical layout to understand the EEs and Mechanical Engineers within S&T. Technologies include but are not limited to ASICs design, surface mount technologies, Intel and AMD chip sets. Must be a technical expert in Real-Time Infrastructure software technologies and associated services. As RTI consists of both hardware and systems components that must interoperate in a cooperative fashion, the candidate needs to demonstrate experience in systems integration, systems engineering governance and CMMI. Technologies include but are not limited to virtualization, utility computing, server consolidation and storage consolidation.
