Cisco Network Security Engineer

Join a stable and growing organization as a Cisco Network Security Engineer.  This individual will be responsible for ensuring the network, server, telecom, and desktop environments are secure and plan, design, maintain, and monitor the server and network environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage continuous improvement processes and provide recommendations. Troubleshoot and resolve network and systems issues. Mentor System Services team members. 

Required Skills: 6+ years experience in Windows server management.5 years experience supporting routers and firewalls.5 years experience with DNS, DHCP, and domain management.5 years experience managing Internet and Wide Area Networks.4 years experience with layer 2 and layer 3 switches. 4 years experience with Active Directory including overall management through group policies including MSI package distribution. 4 years experience with network, systems management monitoring tools. 4 years experience with virus management systems. 4 years experience with Microsoft Exchange.4 years experience with Internet Information Server (IIS).3 years experience with disk imagingdistribution products.3 years experience with System backup software and automated Tape Libraries. 2 years experience supporting a Storage Area Network (SAN).2 years experience with Citrix, VPN’s, or other remote access applications.CCNE / CCNP Certifications would be a big plus.Experience with Ecommerce N-tier architecture a plus. Experience with SQL Server a plus. Experience with Inter-Tel Phone Systems a plus.Bachelors Degree in Information Technology related field. Ability to interact and communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner with all levels of staff .Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem solving skills. Ability to train and provide guidance to others and promote a positive team focused working environment. Open minded with the ability to develop solutions beyond current skill set.
