We are looking to recruit an experienced Cisco Security engineer for our Government business unit.  This full time position is based out of our Chantilly, VA office.  We offer competative pay, excellent benefits and a great team enviornment to work in.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

· Design, plan, implementation and support of medium- to large-scale enterprise-wide Cisco based Security solutions

· Provide customer support and problem resolution

· Support pre-sales and post sales activities for Security initiatives

· Manage on-going customer projects

· Mentor Junior Network Engineers

 

This position is responsible for delivering Cisco based Security solutions for clients to include designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting existing and new voice and data networks while providing support.  The engineer will work on-site and off-site on customer premises to implement Cisco based security solutions.  The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic personality and establish a rapport with customers at the business and technical level.  

 

REQUIREMENTS

· CCSP certification is required

· CCIE Security certification is highly desired/preferred

· CISSP, or Checkpoint CCSE certifications desired

· PMP/PMI certification is a plus

· MCSE 2003 certification desired

· A minimum (4)four years of relevant professional experience is required with strong knowledge of security practices & concepts implementing, designing and maintaining enterprise security solutions with technical expertise in Cisco’s Security Suite including (Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM), PIX firewall, Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Cisco Security Agent (CSA) Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis and Response System(CSMARS)).

· This position will require the engineer to travel through out VA, MD, & DC.

 

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE of the following:

· Extensive knowledge of industry security standards, best practices, regulatory requirements such as SOX, HIPAA and creation/defining of enterprise security policies

·Expertise working with PIX/ASA, Checkpoint Firewalls, IOS/Firewall Service Modules (FWSM), IPS/IDS Modules and SSL & IPSEC VPNs

·Expertise performing threat/vulnerability assessment of enterprise networks and remediation of compromised network elements  

· Experience implementing Cisco security appliances and applications such as Network Admission Control (NAC), Security Monitoring, Analysis and Response System (CSMARS), and Security Agent (CSA)

· Create detailed BOM & SOW documentation with clearly defined deliverables and equipment lists.

· Excellent communication skills and strong knowledge of Business Applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, CRM applications, etc.) 

· Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines

· Understanding of best practices in network architecture, security design and ability to create detailed design using Visio

· Experience in presales strategy and full sales cycle
